I am quietly watching beavers swim about on a pond. How simple an animal’s life is. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And how beautiful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It does not worry about tomorrow, it lets tomorrow worry about itself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is completely present. It only prepares only as much as its instincts tell it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It doesn\u2019t have our accomplishments or status symbols. Cars or houses. Complex and bewildering mating systems. They just are themselves. They just do life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I wonder, is a beaver happy? Is it ever sad? Does the beaver I am watching now ever feel fulfilled in what they do? Do they even care? Or are they just–them. It’s beautiful really.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
